BPS Level B Training in Occupational Personality Testing

This BPS Level B (intermediate) qualification covers personality assessment, and enables successful participants to purchase and use featured Personality Inventories. In addition, it exempts participants from some of the training required to purchase personality instruments from other test publishers.

With BPS accredited instruction delegates will gain the competence to interpret and provide feedback using the selected instruments. Useful as part of selection or development processes, gaining a comprehensive understanding of an individualís personality provides great insight into their likely fit with the demands of a role and the culture of the organisation.


The Level B course provides delegates with:

  • Information relating to the underlying theory and structure of psychometric personality instruments
  • An understanding of how personality instruments are used and the potential benefits to HR functions, including selection and recruitment
  • An opportunity to examine their own personality using selected instruments
  • Experience in administering, interpreting and providing feedback in a 'controlled' environment
  • Eligibility to apply for the BPS Level B (intermediate) and (intermediate plus) Certificates of Competence in Occupational Testing

As a pre-requisite, delegates must already hold the BPS Level A Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing.
